Here’s great news from Conor Kavanagh, the Ads Policy Manager of YouTube. Through the weekly news flash, he announces that creators can now use new text markup options on YouTube video descriptions. These include bold, italic, and strikethrough characters, that can only be previously used on commenting.
It seems that the platform is making it easier for creators to upload videos and other posts. Just like corrections, they seem to be a part of building a YouTube for the future.
Such an update will be available to all creators by the end of next week.
Implications to Marketers:
The new text markup options on YouTube video descriptions can help marketers highlight messages during in-stream on Shorts and other video ads. They may be minor tweaks, but they can positively impact YouTube Analytics.
