Here’s a significant update on YouTube’s mobile search! The platform is enabling auto-chapter as a search element. It is part of YouTube’s continuous improvements in its caption tools. It is a new feature on top of auto-complete hashtagsautomated video chapters, and video chapter searches.

YouTube’s Ads Policy Manager, Conor Kavanagh, announces the update via the Creator Insider weekly news. If video chapters do not have a creator description, auto-chapter will appear on any mobile query or search. Creators have the option to disable auto-caption. They can do it via the YouTube Creator Studio setting on both channel and video levels.

Implications for Marketers:

YouTube’s auto-chapter search can significantly boost ads and campaigns within the platform. With a lot of people searching for products and services on YouTube, they can also increase conversion and sales.
