YouTube is back with some more updates for the new year! After enabling comment filters and search insights, the platform focuses on understanding video performance with new filters.

YouTube’s Ads Policy Manager, Conor Kavanagh announces the update in YouTube’s weekly news flash. New filters were added to help creators better understand performance trends across similar videos. Under the “Audience Advanced Analytics” tab, creators will find a scatter plot analysis that shows videos, hours, and days. According to Connor, it has been a proven method to analyze video performance trends. What they added are new filters that highlight similar videos based on suggested topics.

Implications for Marketers:

YouTube’s new filters to video performance can help creators and marketers better plan their video marketing strategy by knowing which topics and videos are trending. It can guide them to know what elements attracted YouTube viewers.
