Gaming is a rising trend among Twitter communities. That is why the platform partners with Viacom CBS to host watch parties for the Halo TV series. This is right after Twitter enabled auto-captions and faster video uploads.
Last November 2021, Twitter partnered with Viacom CBS. It is the flagship brand of Paramount+ that will feature the weekly TV series starting the 24th of March. After each series, Twitter will host a watch party that will serve as a water cooler for each episode. On the 25th of March at PM PT, a Twitter watch party will feature the stars of Halo, Olive Gray & Kate Kennedy. The producer of the show Kiki Wolfkill will also join the virtual party. It is a roundtable that will feature after-show discussions and behind-the-scenes videos.
Implications for Marketers:
Twitter can hook the gaming world fandom through the Halo watch parties. For marketers, they can be an opportunity to partner with relevant gaming and sports brands.
