Anna Russet, a Product Specialist at YouTube announces the update via the Creator Insider channel. Timed reactions are a new option to share emojis at an exact moment of a YouTube video. It is an enhancement of the timed comments feature.

A YouTube video viewer can open the comment section and tap the reaction panel. Choosing an emoji will display the reaction at the exact part of the clip you are reacting to. Timed reactions are anonymous yet visible to the viewing public. YouTube is piloting timed reactions with a small number of channels.
