YouTube is set to make the viewing experience better and better. The platform greatly improved its Channel Analytics and continues to do so. It is also actively tackling misinformation challenges. Today, the platform is encouraging more respectful YouTube interactions.
As viewers can share love notes on YouTube, it is expanding offensive comments warning for desktop users. The feature was launched for Android and iOS users last January 2022. Offensive comment warnings are pop-up messages reminding users to check if their message fits YouTube’s community standards.
A potentially offensive comment will appear among creators under a “comments for review” section. Creators have the option to approve, hide, or report each comment for an improved YouTube experience.
Additionally, YouTube integrated creator payment with Google AdSense. Any combined earning of $100 will automatically be disbursed to the creator’s payment account.
Implications for Marketers:
YouTube is set to encourage more respectful interaction. Such a move is beneficial for marketers as it gives them a better chance to prove a brand’s worth via credibility and a good reputation.
