YouTube sets out to beat TikTok! The platform now promotes Shorts.

After launching a Shorts fund to reward creators with unique and viral Shorts clips, YouTube now launches a video campaign to boost its discovery. The video features Camila Cabello, a Cuban-American singer, and The Weeknd, a Canadian singer & songwriter. It features how to make everyday a weekend by creating Shorts clips. These include:

  • Bust a move with BTS hit, “Permission to Dance.”
  • Dance with “Don’t Go Yet” with a doggo.

To boost discovery and usage, YouTube shows the shorter side of Shorts.

Implications for Marketers:

As YouTube promotes Shorts, it gives marketers the opportunity to expand its reach using short video clips. Brands should never miss the chance to tap into the power of this creative video marketing feature of YouTube.
