Here’s something interesting but at the same time puzzling! Some Facebook users are receiving a notification about Stories. It notes that the platform is undergoing a test. It is removing viewers’ lists on Facebook Stories. Digital Strategist Elodie Flenniau shares a tweet to Matt Navarra asking for answers. She posted a photo of the prompt on the said tweet. Unfortunately, Facebook has not officially announced anything about the test yet.
Implications for Marketers:
Facebook Stories are 15-second posts that disappear after 24 hours. Recently Instagram enabled converting Stories to Reels to boost engagement. Yet, removing viewers’ lists on Facebook Stories may hurt marketers. It reduces valuable insights to guide them in the future – the number of audiences reach on Stories video ads.
